NACCOP Memorial Scholarship for the Annual Conference
The NACCOP Memorial Scholarship fund was developed at the request of NACCOP members. The scholarship is intended to assist practitioners who function as a Clery Compliance Officer (as either a primary or secondary role) whose institutions are not able to support the full costs of the Annual Conference due to budgetary constraints.
The scholarship will be awarded as a Memorial Scholarship in honor of NACCOP members or employees who have made significant contributions to NACCOP or the Clery compliance profession and have passed away.
To raise money for the Memorial Scholarship Fund, NACCOP holds a silent auction at the Annual Conference with 100% of the proceeds going to the Scholarship fund. Additionally, NACCOP members and friends of the Association can contribute to the scholarship fund. All contributions received will be added to the scholarship account (contributions are not tax-deductible). If the fund has enough resources, at least one scholarship will be awarded to an eligible practitioner each year.
Applications will be accepted and considered by the Awards Committee, which will choose at least one person to whom the scholarship will be awarded. The scholarship amount will cover the cost of registration for the Annual Conference at the early-bird rate. Applicants for the scholarship (who may be members or non-members) are limited to winning the award one time.
The NACCOP Awards Committee will accept nominations throughout each year, though all applications for the upcoming conference must be submitted by March 1st. The recipient of the scholarship will be announced by March 15 for the upcoming July conference. (Nominations submitted after March 1st will be considered for the following year).
